Thank you all for the congrats and glad it is enjoyable! Spent the last hour on a work email so not much happening. Lunch was in the Haven Restaurant and I had the Lobster Bisque which was very good and Mrs S the Brie Burger, excellent. No pictures sorry :( So it has been about an hour and half later and just in time for more food. Dinner tonight is in Cagneys. I will snag the menu and the menu from the main restaurants as well. Just getting cleaned up then going on a walk a bout to see the sights of the ship, will post update pictures soon. Thanks again, and lazy afternoons on a Monday are awesome! Skylark741 Posted May 8, 2017 #159 Share Posted May 8, 2017 Good Morning Cruise Critics! Welcome to what I hope to be a Live Report from the awesome NCL Breakaway as we sail to Bermuda this week. We had originally planned to sail yesterday to Bermuda onboard Royal's Anthem of the Seas, but at the last minute booked Breakaway due to a family commitment on Saturday the came up just as we were going to book. So we will have a 7 day cruise instead of a 5 day cruise, so a win none the less! We are all packed and about to head up the Jersey Turnpike to arrive at the Manhattan Cruise Terminal by 10-10:30 am. We are lucky enough to be in the Haven this week, in a Forward Penthouse, so depending on quality of the wifi, I hope to have many pictures and hopefully some videos to share of all our; activities, cabin, the Breakaway and hopefully Bermuda. This is our 6th time on Breakaway, so we are plenty familiar with her, but we are looking forward to any changes since our last sailing in April 2016. Some of our plans in a checklist format: 1) Have a safe and healthy trip! Lets hope. 2) Enjoy the Haven and see some sights and shows onboard. 3) Visit Horseshoe Bay in Bermuda. (Hoping for nice weather, currently the forecast is not that promising for the three days we are docked). 4) Make a withdrawal from the Casino College Fund. ( Lord knows we have deposited enough over the years :) ) 5) Take tons of pictures and videos (wifi dependent) to share this week. So, hope you can join us as we Freestyle the week away onboard Breakaway and invade Bermuda! See you soon from the road. Our Home for the next week: Cannot wait to see the pink sand between our toes again! Horseshoe is beautiful. Try the cove to the right to see fish. Take some bread. You may want to buy a 2 day transportation pass. I've been on the Breakaway to Bermuda 2 times and can't wait to go back. seadog67 Posted May 8, 2017 Author #164 Share Posted May 8, 2017 Wandered down one to Deck 6 and watched Family Insanity for a bit. Families doing various crazy things like dances and songs Might be becoming addicted to the lattes so swung by the Atrium Cafe And look more food! But my nervous system and waistline said no so walked a bit further back to look at some Culture on the Seas Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

seadog67 Posted May 8, 2017 Author #167 Share Posted May 8, 2017 Starter Course Mrs S. Wedge Salad 4 out of 5 Forks Mr S Shrimp Cocktail (double order at waiters suggestion, do not mind if I do) 5 out of 5 Forks! Main Course Mrs S. Had the Filet and rated it 3 out of 5 Forks. Mr S. Fried Fishermans Platter 1.75 out of 5 Forks - not very good imo at all and guess the saying do not order fish at a steak restaurant goes with this. lmintzer Posted May 9, 2017 #173 Share Posted May 9, 2017 Sorry to hear your main courses at Cagney's weren't up to par. Did you try making in-room cappuccino with the Lavazza machine? I am curious how that compares. And the Haven French press coffee looks lovely, too! Question for you: it seems like there are a lot fewer unobstructed views of the water from the Breakaway (then, say, from the Pearl). The Pearl had the Spinnaker (well, that was through glass but still a nice view), the deck 7 promenade, a great aft view from The Great Outdoors, a good view from up by sports courts. Where are there places to look out on the Breakaway that aren't through glass? The Haven sundeck looks wonderful, but sometimes, I like a "glass free" view. Does the freestyle deck (18) have high glass? Thanks again for the detailed, informative live review!

Hi Imintzer, yes there are a few opening along to outside promenade on Deck 7 from my picture of the sunset. Deck 8 on the waterfront has a view such as this pic but the lifeboats block straight down view The upper pool deck on 16 has glass that kind of blocks the wind but offers nice views. Those so far seem it for clear views outside of ones balcony. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
