Hi,

I am trying to find out how far is the port in Havana from center of town. I was thinking of walking instead of taking the tour on the bus. Can anyone shed some light. Thank you.

What do you consider the "center" of town? The Capitol building is 12 blocks away from the pier.

You'll need good shoes, but there is a lot to see.

Yes. We were there last week. You can definitely walk on your own from the pier. We did a private tour with an english speaking guide. Really glad we did. He was able to give us the history of Havana.
