LIVEish, 7 Days on Harmony (5/13/2017 or 13/5/2017 better yet May 13, 2017)

Recommended Posts

Wow, a 3 am posting. Think it might be my first this cruise.

Had dinner in the Solarium Bistro, wasn't up too par as Oasis was. Would have been somewhat disappointed if I actually had to pay.

Saw Hideaway Heist and Columbus. Overall, I'm going to say the shows have been the best I've experienced on any Royal ship.

After Columbus, shut down the casino (closing at 3:30, last roll was about 3:15). The craps table has been scorching hot the last two nights.

Nothing more to really report... Night folks, see you later in the morning.

Keep in mind this is going to be the last opportunity for anything I might be able to look into.

What is Hideaway Heist and when and where is it performed?

See the image for the description. Back on post 50 or so I have listed the show times. Performed in the Aqua Theater

Thanks for the description. I had noticed on the show times list(post 70), it lasted 40 minutes, but wasn't in any of the shows listed. So, from the above post, I see it was at 1:00. I'm guessing just for the last sea day.

Recap on your room service, food you might order again would be quesadilla, wings and burger? At least since you were in a suite, you weren't charged the new $7.95 room service fee.

Your review has helped me greatly plan for our upcoming Harmony cruise! Thanks so much, and hope to see you on a future cruise.

You're right, not on the list. The showing last night was around 9:00 or 9:30.

Subject of room service, those three things I thought would have been worth it.

To be blunt about it. This week went by real fast. Those two sea days followed by three port days just made things fly by.

It also doesn't help when your the type of person that would rather wake up at 9am.

Today was for the most part catching up. Captain's Corner at 10:00. Saw Grease at 2:30, lunch in the MDR prior. After lunch was a special suite ice cream social. At 4pm was doing a Pub crawl. At 5:30 headed back to get ready for dinner. After dinner was packing, followed by a two hour process of "cashing out" my chips.

Right now I've been enjoying the last few bits of the cruise at the pub.

I know it is late in the week... I've been meaning to ask all week. If not too much trouble, would you notice if any of the bars have CIROC vodka?

Thanks!

Didn't notice. Did ask at the pub tonight/this morning, answer was no longer onboard.

Keep in mind this was their word and not mine.

Up in the Suite Lounge, just made the last call announcement for non consecutive cruisers. Waiting to head down, in the last of three time slots (by choice).

Thanks all for the kind remarks.

I know a ton was missed and look forward to being back next May. I have always felt that an Oasis class needs two cruises to get everything in. Just trying to fit every show in was a challenge. Especially if a booked one was missed.

Even if the second cruise was at a later date it would be less of a burden being so pressured to get the shows in.

Next up, to be blunt about it I miss the Champagne Bar. Loved the nice quiet nook right on the Promenade where I could slip in and get a drink with fresh lime/lemon juices and other ingredients not used at other bars. Rising Tide while nice, it is too much in the center of attention. Personally, I think maybe they should hybrid Vintages into both a Mixilogist bar and wine bar. But I think the Mixilogist bar was geared towards Wonderland's bar. However, Wonderland's bar menu was just a four drink menu.

Still on the subject of bars... Never saw a generic bar menu. Outside of those in the themed bars (Schooner, Pub, Boleros) didn't see (or ask) for one. Also, Cafe Promenade did not have a menu board. Also, Cafe Promenade is unable to do any blended drinks. Was directed to the Vitality Spa's bar for those. Final subject, was only given a receipt a hand full of times, maybe 3 or 4. No cash was being handed over with the card or provided afterwards. Would say I never spent that much time at one particular bar. Was just too much on the move.

Like Clarea stated, anyone can go there.

Since I'm preplanning for our upcoming Harmony cruise, I checked specialty dining prices.

Ultimate Dining package-$168 per person - specialty restaurants for lunch and dinner all seven nights($50 food credit for ala carte restaurants)

Did I read that correctly - $168 per person? So for the entire seven day cruise, basically I can eat wherever I want for both lunch and dinner and it will only cost $24 per day? Can I just make reservations pre-cruise for all the places I want to eat?

Yes you did and it is a fabulous pkg. I wish we had done it. We started with 4 night pkg, ate one night in Coastal, wasn't thrilled, ate the last two in specialty paying ala carte. For lunch many of the better places you have to pay for, even Johnny Rockets. Go for it! Wish I had. I was on this sailing with Chandom.
