If you are talking about gathering on the open forward decks anyone can do that, no invitation necessary.

 

I've never actually heard of a "Bow Party" and I've cruised Carnival 39 times.

I don't know of any Carnival ships that the public can go out on the "Bow". On most Carnival ships that is a crew only area usually with a hot tub and loungers.

That area on deck 5 forward is a restricted crew only area. Some guests still go down there and since it's not policed very well they aren't asked to leave.

I have never seen this on Carnival but on my Royal Caribbean cruises on Freedom and Mariner you were allowed out on the bow where the helicopter pad is. Maybe security just didn't notice them yet. Every Carnival ship had that area as off limits with signs stating so.

Celebrity invites Captains Club members to Sailaway on the helo pad. You will have to bring invitation and photo ID to be escorted. If the invite is for a different port than you want I guess the Captains Club host/hostess can take your request. I think they limit the numbers that are invited. I only remember being invited to one of the ports and not every port. Terry

The only way I know of for passengers to go out to the bow within the rules is on the behind the fun tour, but it's usually on a sea day.
