Island Hop ??

We are thinking about grabbing an inexpensive Maya Air flight from Belize City to one of the close Cayes or islands while in port on an NCL cruise.

 

We have been to Belize City before and have done the cave tubing, just wanted to try somthing different. If anyone has ever done would appreciate your advice.

Maya Air operates from the major airport and also a minicipal location. Do you know how far the municipal strip is from where the cruise ship tenders come in ??

Not Tom, but anyhoo... it's a 10 minute cab ride.

 

FWIW: The first cab driver told me the fare was ten dollars, so I gave her 12 US including a tip. Driver on the way back told me it was ten dollars, too. When I gave him 12, he handed me 5 back, saying he had meant Belizean dollars.

 

Morale of the story: 1. Clarify the currency, 2. There ARE honest cab drivers in this world. :)
