Question about disabled veteran parking in Galveston

I read on here that they offer free parking to disabled veterans at the Galveston port. Does anyone know what percentage of disability counts? My husband is 60% service related disabled, receiving monthly pay and free healthcare but he does not rate handicap parking.

From what I have determined it doesn't matter the percentage of disability. You just need proof that you have a disability. We have not used it because I would have trouble getting on the shuttle. You could email the port to ask them to be sure or maybe someone who has used it can give you personal experience.
