Fort Lauderdale hotel help needed please!

We are arriving at FLL airport at 1155pm Saturday 2/25. Going on the Carnival Valor the next day out of Miami.

 

Need a hotel for that night. We won't get there until 1am and will leave around 11am or so.

 

Any suggestions? All the hotels prices are more than I'd like to pay for 10-11 hrs. Does anyone have suggestions?

 

Initially I thought we'd stay near airport at a hotel with a free shuttle. Then book transportation from FLL to Port of Miami.

You answered your own question. Getting in so late all you need is a decent room minutes from the airport. Checkout LaQuinta, Holiday Inn Airport or the Sheraton. All three fit the bill.

The next morning either grab a cab at the hotel or return to the airport for a more economical shared van ride to Port of Miami.
