CarolSW Posted December 5, 2005 #2 Share Posted December 5, 2005 I stayed at the Inn at the Waterpark in June of this year. I thought the room was spacious and very acceptable, and I'm pretty picky. The hotel is bright and cheery from the outside. It is next to Moody Gardens and all it's attractions, including Palm Beach and the Aquarium. This hotel is NOT close to the Strand or the pier however. It is several miles away. You will need a car or a taxi. Don't know if they have a complimentary transfer service for cruise passengers. We stayed there for a wedding in Galveston. The hotel at Moody Gardens is probably nicer, but much more expensive. I thought the Inn at the Water Park was a good choice for the money, and I would stay there again. Hope that helps.
