Rare MillbrookMom Posted June 15, 2017 #1 Share Posted June 15, 2017 Is Skagway the port that you can take excursions to the Yukon from? What types of excursions are available to get you there? We are hoping to "kill 2 birds with 1 stone". We are on a quest to visit every province and Territory in Canada. After July 10th will will have seen all the provinces, so we are hoping to do an Alaska cruise next summer and include the Yukon as well. Thanks in advance
Northern Aurora Posted June 15, 2017 #2 Share Posted June 15, 2017 Yes, Skagway is the Alaskan port which is close to Yukon Territory. You might consider renting a car and driving the South Klondike Highway. About 15 miles from Skagway the road crosses into Canada -- the first section is actually in British Columbia and later you will cross into Yukon Territory. TheCalicoCat Posted June 15, 2017 #3 Share Posted June 15, 2017 Yes, from Skagway you drive through BC to get to Yukon Territory. (The train may also get you there, but we did not research that ourselves.)

xlxo Posted June 15, 2017 #5 Share Posted June 15, 2017 fyi.... another idea is HAL's Yukon Denali option which gives you extended time in the territory.
