Cozumel Snorkeling

Recommended Posts

Can anyone recommend a good place that offers snorkeling off a boat in Cozumel? The offers thru RC seem pricey. Seems as if there would be something cheaper if I booked a snorkeling excursion on my own. Plus my husband is in a wheelchair and most of the RC excursions say not wheelchair accessible. He has been snorkeling before so I know there has to be places that can accommodate him. Thanks.

I can recommend Fury Catamaran. I've gone out with them three times. Their cats and crew are great. You are guaranteed to have a great time. I have no idea if they can accommodate a wheelchair bound guest. I guess you could call them to see.

The only downside I've had with them is on my last trip (11/17), the reefs they chose were sketchy at best. They did not go to Palancar Reef on that trip, which was a big disappointment for me. However, I still had a great time..

CozumelH20 offers a 4 reef, 3-4 hour snorkeling trip for $65/pp. We had such a good time! The tour guides are professional and knowledgeable, and make it a great time. I highly recommend them! I am not sure if they are wheelchair accessible, but they are very easy to communicate with and quick to reply via email.

We had an amazing experience going through Cozumel Sailing. Crew was fantastic and fun, let my dad real in a fish that they caught while trolling out to the snorkeling spot, let us hang at a beach for a while, snorkeled and pointed out wildlife we wouldnt have seen, great food and potent drinks (in a good way), and the best of all SPINNAKER RIDES!!! Highly recommended.

We did this tour back in December - AMAZING! I will use them again if I ever return to Cozumel.

We did Fury Catamarans a few years ago and based on that experience I cannot recommend them. The area they took us to was almost close enough to swim to the cruise ships. It was insanely choppy, no coral at all so no fish. The emphasis was more on the open bar/party happening after the snorkeling. If you are looking to get hammered then go for it, but if quality snorkeling is the priority look elsewhere.

We have snorkeled all over the Caribbean, Mexico, The Bahamas etc. and this was by far the worst.
