Port Canaveral and Orlando area suggestions for our GLORYous cruise, please!

I am sailing the Glory in January and trying to decide what to do and would love some input here.......

 

We will be arriving MCO at about 3:00PM and are deciding to either stay at the Hyatt at the airport (using rewards points at no cost) and then heading to the port the next morning OR renting a car and driving to Cocoa Beach and staying there.

 

We will not be inclined to do the beach or pool thing and we would not get to Cocoa Beach until around 4 - 4:30 I'm figuring. Also.....if we stay in Cocoa Beach we will be paying for a hotel

 

So I guess my question is......is there anything great to do in either Orlando or Cocoa Beach on Friday evening that would compel me to make a decision?!?!?! :eek:

we will go and check out some of the disney/universal attractions the night before the cruise departs.
