Thanks so much for taking the time to post this review. I'll be doing this same itinerary in a few weeks. Would you recommend the private tour in Puerto Rico, or the beach getaway in St Thomas? Can you please provide contact information for them or a website? Thanks again.

Would love to have this info as well! We sail August 5th.

Day 5: Grand Turk

We don’t arrive to Grand Turk until 12pm, so I get my workout done, then we peruse the ship and see they have towel animals set up which were cute. We ate sandwiches from the Deli which were pretty good too.

Once we get to Grand Turk there was quite a line to get off the ship, and once we finally do get off, we see that Carnival Sensation is in port with us. Thankfully we were able to find 3 chairs on the edge of the pool, get sunscreen'd up and hop in. We stayed about 2.5hrs before heading back to the ship. On the bright side, Ethan finally remembered how to swim!!! The DJ there was pretty good, making it entertaining and doing contests.

We headed back to the ship and had a late lunch / snack, and when I came back from getting my food, I see this:

Ethan went back to camp after dinner, which tonight was in the buffet. I had a salad, some beef and rice, and baked ziti. After this is when my stomach started hurting which went on from 8pm til 2am. NOT GOOD! I took a shower, some pepto, drank water, etc. Nothing helped. Don’t know what it was about, and I’m glad Tommy and Ethan didn’t get it. I started to feel better the next morning, but took it easy anyways. I sure am glad it’s over though! No fun!

Tommy got these sunrise shots for me:

Day 6: Sea Day

This morning Tommy took some sunrise pictures on the balcony with my phone since I was still sleeping and not feeling 100% better. We’ve been lounging around in the room the whole morning. I’m going to go down and get more pepto when the shops open hopefully. Ethan wants to go to Camp Ocean when they open at 10am. Today we’ll probably just take it easy, and slowly pack up.Tomorrow they kick us off the ship

We had room service delivered with cereals which the boys ate,and I nibbled on Cherrios. We’re about to head to the stores and take Ethan to Camp Ocean. We dropped Ethan off at Camp Ocean and then went to the store, which didn’t have pepto, so we went and picked through photos. We grabbed the ones we liked and then went to the casino for a little bit, then went to Southern Lights to exchange our drink coupons. We came back and hung out on the balcony for a bit before getting Ethan for lunch. The Pig & Anchor was only open 3 times this whole cruise. We went and got in line for the Pig &Anchor and it did move quickly. It was good, but we prefer Guys’ Burger instead. After lunch we dropped Ethan back off at Camp Ocean so he could watch the volcano they made.

Today was the best weather. Why does it have to be the last day??

Camp Ocean closed at 3pm so we picked him up and chilled out in the room until dinner. He wanted eat with his friends so we dropped him off in the Lido Deck and signed in there. Tommy and I grabbed dinner in the MDR. I had the Caprese Salad, and Cornflaked Chicken with black beans and corn.Tommy had the flat bread and jerk pork loin. Dessert was carrot cake for Tommy and the WCMC and ice cream for me.

We got a note in the room about self-debarkation being at 5:45am so after dinner we went to the guest service desk to double check that.We have never gotten off at that time, that early before. But the guest services said that they are doing a trial run on the early time. So I guess we’re getting up at 5am to get off the ship.

And it looks like we missed out on what would have been fun, farewell party:

Side notes about the ship:

DJ E was very entertaining and such a good cruise director. The elevators seemed to be a tad slow when everyone is on the ship but that’s a given. I am surprised this ship doesn’t have the digital photos. It looks like they have the capability to do it, but they still printed a lot of photos. We saw a lot people just throwing pictures away.

Thanks so much for taking the time to post this review. I'll be doing this same itinerary in a few weeks. Would you recommend the private tour in Puerto Rico, or the beach getaway in St Thomas? Can you please provide contact information for them or a website? Thanks again.

I would definitely recommend the private tour. It was worth every penny, especially to get the one on one time. I think we paid $190 total for the day, for the 3 of us, in a large a/c van. I believe the tour was called Island Marketing.

The St. Thomas excursion was done through Resort A Day, which has several locations to choose from. The excursion we chose included alcohol, and we enjoyed the place and drinks.

Thanks for the review, we're doing the same trip in 26 days, even staying in pretty much the same cabin on the other side of the ship.

i was a little worried about noise from the bump out on deck 5 - did you notice anything? we have a 7 year old girl, so we're hoping she likes the kids club - couldn't get her out of the one we put her in on princess so fingers crossed she'll enjoy it.

Did you check the pool area at the amber cove cruise port - any waterslides? when you mention pool wasn't sure if you meant at the port or on the ship? although it didn't look like your weather was great.

We didn't hear any "extra" noise from deck 5 being extended out for the hot tubs. We barely saw them being used actually.

When we went to Amber Cove, we did go over to their waterslides in the port that they built and it was pretty crowded so people were enjoying them. Kids were enjoying the zipline too. The weather was not so friendly on this day in Amber Cove.
