Corynfl3 Posted February 10, 2018 #101 Share Posted February 10, 2018 I just redeemed by first OBC voucher from Pop Slots. Cruise was booked on 1/24 1. Got the email with instructions almost immediately. 2. Sent the email off last nite to clubroyale 3. Got a confirmation email this morning from clubroyale saying my OBC has been issued. Funny thing is, yes it says you must book thru rccl. But the confirmation email told me to contact my TA to have them update my cruise information. The $100 OBC was sold out, so I only used the $50. But I already had $250 in credit from my booking, so I'm up to 300. Redeemed a $100 OBC this morning and going to give it a try. It says in the T&C on pop slots, than you can only redeem one of each code within a rolling 180 day window. Seems like maybe it just depends on how nice of a customer service rep you get from club royale? How much of a stickler they are?
Corynfl3 Posted February 10, 2018 #102 Share Posted February 10, 2018 I did (*blush*) buy 10,000,000 and some gold coins (and those jewel-things that give you extra bonuspoints) for $3. It won't happen again. I promise. Ive bought a couple. Nothing to blush about. A lot of the smaller apps (obviously not MyVegas), but a lot of the smaller app developers live off of the money they make from in-game purchases. lmschwabby Posted February 24, 2018 #103 Share Posted February 24, 2018 So I redeemed a $100 OBC reward on PopSlots and received the email asking me to send all the information to them. Just received a response back that since my cruise was booked more than 30 days ago, I need to call their office directly to "inquire about changing to prevailing rates" in order to add the OBC. What does this mean? do they require me to change my existing reservation that has already been paid for? any suggestions how to handle this? TIA Lisa

payitforward Posted February 24, 2018 #106 Share Posted February 24, 2018 That’s what I’m afraid of! Sent from my iPhone using Forums I would say give them a call and see what the difference is. If it's not worth it, don't change. You can always return your MyVegas voucher and get a refund on the points. Today I redeemed points for a 7 night Mexican Riviera cruise on Carnival. It should be interesting as I've never cruise Carnival before. I will see for myself if my "perception" is reality.

TIA Lisa It means that your cruise must have either been booked or repriced within the last 30 days. They are saying because you booked more than 30 days ago, they want you to call to discuss repricing the cruise. We have done it. Sometimes it works in your favour, sometimes not and you would cancel your MyVegas reward and your points would be put back in your account
dacsmom Posted February 24, 2018 #108 Share Posted February 24, 2018 I got $250 OBC for Alaska cruise next year. Definitely worth playing myvegas. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Forums mobile app
KazAllen Posted February 24, 2018 #109 Share Posted February 24, 2018 definitely not a scam, we booked our trip thought our travel agent. Then after I received my reservation number from RCCL, I clicked on the $250 onboard credit reward in the my vegas game. It cost 100,000 gold chips. They send you a redemption code which you forward to your travel agent and that is all you have to do. A few hours later I had a $250 onboard credit added to my reservation!! It was very easy. Not that easy all the time, they don't tell you, until you try and apply to your cruise, that the cruise has to be purchased in USD which is hard if you live inAustralia! csnarpy Posted February 24, 2018 #110 Share Posted February 24, 2018 I tried to redeem a $50 OBC two days after I booked, they said “Unfortunately your Royal Caribbean booking for the Harmony of the Seas, does not qualify for a MyVegas redemption. Your travel agent has booked you at a rate that is not available to all passengers via our website.” What a load. I get a deal that Royal offered (for a day, lol) and I can’t use my slots... Rognish Posted February 25, 2018 #114 Share Posted February 25, 2018 Sounds to me like your agent may have booked you into a group. MyVegas rewards cannot be used with groups. If you are booked in a group, you might have a little OBC or some other perk. You can always ask your TA to remove you from the group, and doing so you would loose any perk associated with the group book. And then you might be able to apply your my Vegas reward. Nope, definitely not in a group. My TA was holding a balcony for me. Just after I hung up I got a price notification on my phone and Royal lowered its C1’s to the 2nd lowest fair available. I immediately called back and he didn’t know about it at all. He confirmed and we booked it. It literally lasted a day. The next day the C1’s were increased by over $1200. So I guess I get penalized for finding a deal that lasted a day... Oh well, it’s no biggy. We saved a ton!

Drayx4 Posted November 24, 2018 #117 Share Posted November 24, 2018 Hi, I'm so glad I found this post! I'm a little confused. I booked our cruise through RCCL directly- we leave on Jan. 3rd. I'd like to redeem my popslots points for onboard credit. I booked the cruise 8 days ago, so I have to redeem the credits within 14 days of booking (I think) but it says the credits are only good for 30 days, which would not be within the date of cruising? Can someone explain? I'd love the onboard credits!
LatinaInTexas Posted November 25, 2018 #118 Share Posted November 25, 2018 After you purchase the reward you have 14 days to redeeem the reward, Information on how to redeem and use the reward will be e-mailed to you after your purchase. The 30 days means you have 30 days after booking your cruise to redeem this reward. Once 30 days passes after booking your cruise you can no longer redeem and use the reward. LisaAtlCruiser Posted March 21, 2019 #119 Share Posted March 21, 2019 I know this thread is a bit old - but I thought I would come back and report that there must be a limit to how many times you can redeem and use on RCI. I think I have redeemed a voucher 4 times, maybe 5. And at least 2 times already this year. Anyway, when I went to redeem another one inside of Popslots it said I have met the max I can redeem with RCI. I may try again at the new calendar year to see if it is a yearly limit or an overall limit. Regardless, I have enjoyed the games (I have MyVegas and MyKonami too) and sure have benefits for the vouchers I have already redeemed.

If you have experience with redeeming these, I wish you would explain it to me! I’m fairly bright, but the whole thing on redeeming onboard credit isn’t making any sense to me. I can understand the limit on using it within 14 days, but the “ 30 day after booking” makes zero sense. I normally book cruises 6-24 months out and the chance of me (or most people I would think...) booking a cruise less than 30 days out is extremely low! It just makes no sense, why would they put that kind of crazy limit? Am I somehow reading this incorrectly, because the way I read it that is what is requiring in addition to the “use within 14 days”? Thanks 🤕

Am I somehow reading this incorrectly, because the way I read it that is what is requiring in addition to the “use within 14 days”? Thanks 🤕 I think the one you are referring to is "Must be redeemed within 30 days of a new cruise reservation."? So these are among the terms I see in my Pop Slots for the $100OBC as of 3/22/19 (terms can and have changed a lot since they first started): "Rewards must be used with 14 days of purchase" "Redemption limited to only 2 awards from Royal Caribbean, regardless of type, within a rolling 180 day period" "This reward is limited to 1 per myVegas player "Must be redeemed within 30 days of a new cruise reservation. Limited to sail dates within one year of redemption". "Only one myVegas Reward can be used per reservation" So for the 30 day thing - it means if you have booked a cruise within the last 30 days, you can buy this reward and apply it (assuming it qualifies otherwise). The reservation has to sail within a year of redeeming the reward. Once you buy the reward you have 14 days to apply it to a reservation. So if you booked a cruise last week for March 20 2020 you could buy the reward today, apply it within the next 14 days and enjoy a $100 OBC on your cruise. The $100 OBC is limited to one per player. It is my understanding that is only for this "set" of rewards. If this $100 goes away (they often change), and comes back later, you can buy it and redeem as long as you have not gone over the 2 rewards in 180 days. Clear as mud!! You book your October cruise on April 1st. you have April 1st thru 30th to apply the OBC. The purchase it talks about is redeeming your coins in the game for the OBC. So it works like this Book October Cruise on April 1st (You now have 30 days to apply the OBC) Redeem coins on April 4th ( you now have 14 days to apply it to the cruise) Apply OBC to your cruise on April 10th
