EMS0325 Posted July 17, 2017 #1 Share Posted July 17, 2017 My husband and I will be arriving in Honolulu on 9-28. We are staying at the Sheraton in Waikiki before and after our cruise on the POA. Just wondering if its easier and more economical to take taxis back and forth from airport to hotel and hotel to ship rather than make reservations with a car service. need2cruisesoon Posted July 18, 2017 #2 Share Posted July 18, 2017 Yes, Lyft or Uber from hotel to airport. Use them to navigate anywhere in Honolulu for a lesser price than cab. From airport to hotel then yes cab or private car.
EMS0325 Posted July 18, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted July 18, 2017 Thanks for the info. By any chance, do you know how much it is from the airport to the Sheraton? Don't know if it's worth saving a few dollars and waiting a half hour for the uber at the airport. (Since you have to call after you get your luggage). It's our first time in Hawaii and know we will be sooo excited to get out of the airport and get to see our 50th state!!
KeepCalmBearOn Posted July 18, 2017 #4 Share Posted July 18, 2017 You won't wait half an hour for an Uber at HNL, it'll be a few minutes. I'd only use a cab if it was a flat rate cab ($35+ tip). There are shuttles like Hawaii23 ($23+ tip for 2) and Go808 Express ($25+ tip) that I would also use before a cab.
Luvmypups Posted July 20, 2017 #5 Share Posted July 20, 2017 We are are using Johnnycabhi.com, scheduled it online, cost is $25 for 1-2 persons from HNL to Waikiki and no extra for luggage. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
