Billym1507 Posted December 2, 2005 #1 Share Posted December 2, 2005 I am in cabin 4143, deck 4 which is a B5. I have read that it has a balcony with a restricted view. Does anyone know what kind of restriction this will be. I am on the Queen Mary 2. Thanks for any help. Billy.
yojimbo Posted December 2, 2005 #2 Share Posted December 2, 2005 Not sure, but I believe the cabins on 4 deck do not have restricted (obstructed?) views. It is probably a hull balcony cabin. Search function will give plenty of info and pictures of hull balconies.
ricker Posted December 2, 2005 #3 Share Posted December 2, 2005 Cabin 4143 is now listed on the Cunard (US) site as a B-3. Perhaps you have been upgraded from a B-5 obstructed (lifeboats) cabin to this one. Rick

Billy. tHERE WILL BE UGLY MEN WITH PLUMBERS CRACKS HANGING ON SCAFFOLDING OUTSIDE YOUR WINDOW, NIGHT AND DAY! Ooops. sorry had the CAPs lock on! Just kidding! The obstructed view cabins are on Deck 8- the lifeboats hang in front of them, several feet away. 4 deck may be described as obstructed by some because as a hull balcony, the bottom part of the exterior looking out to the ocean (or sea) is steel, not glass. OTOH, you can lean over and look down over the water, not over the promenade deck! And the only thing looking back at you is likely to be a dolphin or porpoise! Enjoy!
