Southampton to Heathrow

After our cruise we are spending a few days in Southampton. What is the best and easiest way to get to Heathrow airport.

Best and easiest. You do realise that others may well have asked the same question before?

 

In simple terms, the cheapest is a National Express coach and the easiest is a private hire car.

Do not be put off by the idea of a coach - they are well used to cruise passengers and will load your luggage into cavernous spaces under the floor. Note that the coach is priced per person and the taxi is per car.

We used Smiths for Airports to get from Heathrow to Southampton and they were perfect! It was a bit more than the coach, but when we were coming it for our flight, it was super early in the morning. We didn't want to deal with a bunch of people on a bus. Not only that, the driver was awesome, and went above and beyond for us. I wrote about it in my IOS review (it's in my signature).
