Jdfireman Posted August 14, 2017 #26 Share Posted August 14, 2017 Yeah, I don't worry about anyone else. I do what works for me. If they want to give me an attitude about the color of my card, then that's on them. Doesn't bother me and I've never had that issue. And if they think it's tacky to wear lanyards, then I don't care either. I'm not there to impress anyone. I love it... I got sick of the your to young to be you know what I mean thanks again for the Vista help...

Retired_to_Cruise Posted August 14, 2017 #28 Share Posted August 14, 2017 Some of the Casinos I have gone to in Illinois and Las Vegas are now giving what I call "bungee cord" lanyards when you get your players card. They are not like the normal casino lanyards that you get in a Carnival casio. They stretch like a bungee cord. I do not like around the neck lanyards or ones with pouches on them. You have to take them off your neck, or the S&S card out of the pouch a lot of times. The ones I have I use on my S&S card and on my Samsung Nook reader. They stretch out to the machines, and if they are clipped to your belt, you cannot leave any place without what they are hooked to following you. I have got some from Treasure Island in Vegas, Jumer's Casino in Moline, IL, Wild Rose Casino in Clinton, IL, and Grand Victoria Casino Elgin, IL. Love them and highly recommend them. You know back in the day when you thought you were special having the extra long cord to go around the wall where no one could hear you talk [emoji3]. I hate those kind. I usually don't have belt loops and if I try and put it around my neck, it gets severely tangled in my hair. I bough these for the last cruise. The ones with the clip for easy S&S disconnection is a must for me. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01DLMCH7W/ref=mp_s_a_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1502745513&sr=8-8&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=lanyard%2Bwith%2Bclip&dpPl=1&dpID=51EZjkaEq3L&ref=plSrch&th=1&psc=

Carnival's are the squiggly coiled ones made of coated plastic. The ones I am talking about are smooth, made of stretchable elastic, about 3 mm in diameter, and stretch like a bungee cord. Oh now that I look closer I see they aren't coiled. Yours are better but they still won't work for me. Carnival's free ones really are horrible. I still have some in the closet. skywalkr2 Posted August 15, 2017 #32 Share Posted August 15, 2017 I've always used the free ones from the casino... because they are free... they work... and who am I supposed to be impressing with a lanyard?

My SO hooks them to her purse, which always stays over her shoulder, or on to a buttonhole on a jacket she is wearing and loves these bungie cords as well. You do not have to have a belt look to make them work.
