Grandmimie Posted August 26, 2017 #51 Share Posted August 26, 2017 Would love to know who you spoke with. Having the same issue paid in full called to add on somethings and was informed I still owed on my cruise. They said it was because the insurance premiums went up. To me paid in full is paid in full! I have been trying to get an answer for 8weeks! I've sent half a dozen emails and talk to some higher ups who will check on it and never return my calls. I've tried to be nice and understanding... I paid the extra balance the $$ were just a principle thing but now that it's been 8 weeks I'm very upset with the customer service too! We also sail in September. I want this resolved so we can enjoy our trip. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Ranger719 Posted August 26, 2017 #52 Share Posted August 26, 2017 You nailed it with one comment ... They NEVER return calls !!! About a month ago I tried to get my Cruise Vacation Specialist ... I know it's absurd but I actually tried calling him twice a day for three weeks leaving a message on his answering machine each time...just to see how long this could take....NEVER returned a call...when he finally picked up the machine no apology or anything like that just the phrase "I'm a very busy man" This past Monday I called him at 3 PM in the afternoon ...he picked up the phone and said to me " I am just finishing up with another customer I will call you back within minutes" it's now Friday night ...guess what I've spent the rest of the week trying to talk with a manager, I have spoken to three customer support personnel . Each one gave me the name of a different manager (Mathew , Nicholas and someone else) that I need to speak with and told me they are all out of the office or in a meeting at the time ...they would send them each a message with my phone number and to call me a soon as possible....GUESS WHAT ?? Ocean devotion Posted August 26, 2017 #55 Share Posted August 26, 2017 Worst Cruise was on MSC. I'm strictly Royal now. Horrible food, shows and staff but the ship was clean which seemed to be the only thing that mattered. Sent from my iPad using Forums

Sent from my iPad using Forums Very different/almost the opposite of our experience on the divina. My wife refuses to let me book a Royal Caribbean cruise now. Ember50 Posted August 27, 2017 #59 Share Posted August 27, 2017 Just a note to say we have just come back from our cruise in August with MSC and it was wonderful... Loved every minute. All the pool bars were open as were the pools (with the exception of one that was closed for cleaning after someone dropped a glass in it - MSC were very quick to do clean up and reset the pool). I can imagine if someone is sick/has an accident in the pool and this is reported MSC have no option but to close and clean (personally I am very happy about this and wouldn't want it any other way). MSC, once I status matched (post paying for my cruise) gave me my 5% off without fuss. My TA took care of that. My daughter loved the entertainment and made us go each evening to watch it! If something is closed there is usually a very good reason for it (health related/cleanliness etc) , especially if it is something that makes MSC revenue. We had a lovely time. IrishRosh Posted August 29, 2017 #61 Share Posted August 29, 2017 I'm also sailing with MSC for the first time (Opera on 2 September) and I've had a number of issues with them, which I'm now learning could probably be avoided by booking with an agent. I've already had to get over the fact that the price dropped by 33% after we booked (I know, I know, rookie mistake) but I'm reconciled to that by the good advice on here that we were happy to pay the full price so just remember that. The latest is that I downloaded my tickets and found that they say we're on the "Bella" package when the online system (and my memory) tells me we're on Fantastica. OK not a big thing, but suggests that systems don't talk to each other. I also asked to upgrade to a better room just now, but was told I was too late. That's fair enough. Looking forward to the cruise now as a first-timer.
wisdom4all Posted August 29, 2017 Author #62 Share Posted August 29, 2017 I'm trying to put the poor customer service behind me. I think the folks on here are tired of hearing me complain. Hope you have a wonderful cruise. Looking forward to the review of you cruise. I'll share my experience as well.
