FangedRose Posted September 8, 2017 #26 Share Posted September 8, 2017 The single cabins corridor between the outside/inside cabins has ends which look very anonymous and virtually 99% of through traffic will go through the casino and not the non-advertised corridor. Regards John Yes, it's surprising how even passengers who have travelled 5 or 6 times on Azura (and Ventura) do not realise they are there. I remember having a 'discussion' with two ladies who were blocking the doorway. They declined to excuse me as I tried to enter because that area was 'crew only'. Imagine their surprise when my cabin steward came out, purely by chance, and held the door open and ushered me in. I hope they thought I was ultra top tier and entering some sort of inner sanctum and not anything else!!
richard_london Posted July 25, 2018 #27 Share Posted July 25, 2018 (edited) I recently stayed in Cabin L201 aboard the Britannia. Plus points Balcony! (overhanging deck 17 gives shade which is good) Wide single bed Lots of storage Nice decor Negative points Bathroom is fine if a little tight on space, the shower door opens outwards so you almost have to step out of the bathroom to get in If bed is so be used like a sofa (which I tried to do) then then the viewing angle is wrong for the television. Late night/early morning through flow of passengers to and from the Crow's Nest; more heavy footed guests really caused the deck to vibrate; also you get vibration from people dragging sun loungers on the deck above. Also as the Crow's Nest is open until late a crew member vacuumed the corridor outside the Crow's Nest right outside my cabin every night between 11:30pm and midnight! Cabins closer to the forward stairwell will get noise to from people going out onto the Lido Deck and also during sailaway it was very loud. I've added a couple of photos. FangedRose Posted July 25, 2018 #28 Share Posted July 25, 2018 I was a couple of cabins down from the previous poster. I did not hear any sun loungers being moved early morning, or vacuuming late at night. Very few used the corridor to access The Crows Nest, however people using the Library did! Friends used to leave me copies of the daily crossword and the Newsletter in the 'post box' outside my cabin, and they often went missing.
Rare Deeliteful Posted August 2, 2018 #29 Share Posted August 2, 2018 This is good to know! I have my first single cabin booked on the Azura for 3 weeks time. Usually travel solo but generaly have a double cabin. I am off to the Fjords in F314. Excited!
Clodia Posted August 3, 2018 #30 Share Posted August 3, 2018 I booked one of the F deck outside singles on Azura a couple of years ago, but never got to experience it, though I did see it as the lady allocated it was on my table for dinner! A week before the cruise they upgraded me to a midships double outside on P deck which I would definitely have again!
