? Port Change on Allure

Booked on Allure October 1. Just noticed San Juan now a port day instead of St Kitts?? Is this correct??

Yes, due to a propulsion problem, they changed the itinerary. We're sailing Sunday 9/3 and it affected our trip as well.

 

Going to be fixed in January. Just got to go with the flow.

Allure is down one propeller. Some itineraries have been changed - September 27th has swapped St Thomas for San Juan.

Our September 3rd also lost St Kitts for San Juan and our day in St Thomas was switched to a day later some cruises in January were cancelled so Allure can go to dry dock to be repaired

I believe all Eastern Caribbean cruises on Allure have the changes until the problem is fixed in January. The Western Caribbean cruises are unchanged. This is from my understanding and as always, I could be wrong.

There are three azipods (motors with props). SOmeone reported they were limiting speed to around 17 knots.

She will sail slower, thus the itinerary changes for Eastern routes. Western port stops are so close together that there was no need for a change.

Not actually true... they still using all the propellers but in a reduce speed.

 

 

Allure normally navigates at 17 to 20 knots, with the issue she is encountering they have reduced her speed to 13 to 14 knots, but all propellers are in use.
