Day Hotel Post-Carnival Cruise from Port Canaveral

Departure from Sanford airport has been rescheduled by airline to after 8 p.m. So we have 10-12 hours to kill post-cruise. We could be vagabonds in a rental car but I'm not sure my 5-year-old will enjoy that very much.

 

Looking for a day room at a hotel. I would be OK with Cocoa Beach area, really anywhere in Orlando or near Sanford airport. A room and a pool is all we need. I know the hotel in MCO has one but since we aren't using that airport that's probably not logical.

 

So . . . looking for hotels with day rooms in this broad area. Web search seemed to identify 1 Hampton Inn, and my search of the CC forum came up more or less empty.

After 5 years of toddler-raising we are FINALLY able to get back to cruising . . . I forgot how excited I get about a cruise when I start reading this board!

If you want to spend a day at the beach, rent a hotel in Cocoa Beach. If not...i would stay at one of the hotels right by the port.
