If I read this post correctly, does this mean that I can't post a review of my cruise later this summer? I didn't know these boards existed until AFTER we booked our cruise (a year ago), but have trawled the boards assiduously and gleaned some marvellous information. But apparently I may not reciprocate afterwards? And where are these "rules" posted anyway? I've just re-checked the "welcome" post under "Community Guidelines" and can see no mention of this "rule".

As for the original post and the reference to "commonwealth friends" - well, perhaps I'll treat that with the contempt it deserves. After 50 years of travelling the globe, and meeting people from every continent, the only generalisation I can make is that you CANNOT make generalisations about people because of their sex/race/creed.

DonaG for some reason, Imsulin decided to attack my spelling. I guess he didnt like the content of my post and tried for any old attack. He also doesnt like that I dont use an apostrophe.
I guess thats the sort of relevant post that this whole thread was alluding to.

This was the reason for my post as well. I think at one time or another each of us can be guilty of being rude, disrespectful, uncaring, in the heat of the moment. My apoligies!! But to be cruel, and brutal for you own gain, is unacceptable. This happened to Steve and I the other night. We responded, not rude, and it only gave the poster power. The only way to stop it was to stop posting. The only problem with that is it gave her open season on anyone, because she believed she won. NOT!!! So anytime someone agreed with her she was fine, but if you didn't you were toast. I will never respond to another one of her posts. As she said, "the respect I deserve". Sorry, you have to earn respect, whether it be here, at home, at work, or at leisure. [img]http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif[/img]

The CC5 is a reference to the now-deleted post where someone??? Accused me, and Sue and Spongerob and a couple of others by name of "owning" the board. We started calling ourselves the cruise critic five and I don't believe anyone minded the title.

My take on the grammar, etc. is this. When I read an intelligent post, it is the content that has more meaning to me. I have good friends that don't use proper grammar, punctuation, etc. I know that, but don't hold it against them. I just accept them for who they are! [img]http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif[/img]
I'm not a good typist, so sometimes assume it's a typo, also.
