Not sure I understand the taxi fare from Havensight to the beaches. If a taxi takes me to the beach and we agree on a pickup time, when do I pay him the fare? Also, if the fare lets' say is $12 to Magens beach would I owe him $24 for the round trip or does the $12 cover both rides?

The standard fare is per person each way. If you're going to one of the beaches frequently recommmended on this forum no need for driver to come back for you. One of the reasons they're so frequently recommended is because taxis are easy to get, food, drinks, chairs, snorkel equipment plus maybe other amenities.
