WDWPolyGirl Posted September 17, 2017 #1 Share Posted September 17, 2017 This is our first Carnival Cruise and vacation sine 2008, and I am just now starting to get in on the fun planning part. I am a little concerned about our excursion we have planned. We are on the 4 day to Cozumel out of Tampa, and our excursion is the Tulum Ruins/Cenote Swim and Lunch. The reviews are good for the actual tour but many say there is no time to shop for any kind of souvenirs. Now my family and I are not big shoppers, but I want to get something like a T shirt and shot glass to take home, but many people say there is absolutely no time to shop or even an opportunity. I wonder if we can leave the ship early or maybe after the excursion before getting on the boat we can do some shopping, but of course, I have no idea how the time frame will go. I know this excursion takes all day. Any suggestions or advice on how the Cozumel port is set up and if we can squeeze in time?
poppadevan Posted September 17, 2017 #2 Share Posted September 17, 2017 Firstly, you will take a speed boat over to the mainland and then. Used to Tulum. The last time I was in Tulum there was plenty of shopping right at the ruins. When you return to the Carnival pier in Cozumel the pier is. Dry commercialized. A wide variety of stores right there.
