Athankfulheart Posted September 25, 2017 #26 Share Posted September 25, 2017 Have her bring a friend. Then she has a cabin mate to split costs with and a friend to hang out with at times when you need some time with your hubby. Even if you guys split the fare and the friend sails cheap or free, it still has its advantages. SkyMaster Posted September 25, 2017 #27 Share Posted September 25, 2017 I too, sail SOLO a lot, and haven't found a good, fool proof way to get the best rate. (I'd love to bring a "friend", but my wife won't let me!) LOL I usually just price the cruise I'm interested in several ways, and pick the one that's the best. I almost always end up in an "upper/lower", and you'd think Carnival would be happy to find someone who is happy there. LOL "SKY"

LOL"SKY" LOL yes. For my first couple of cruises, on the booking engine, they actually SUBTRACTED $5 a day from the interior price for taking an upper/lower, and that included the porthole rooms.
