Travel3 Posted October 4, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 4, 2017 The MSC Meraviglia disembarks at 8am, and the train leaves from Genova Piazza Principe railway station which is a few minutes walk away at 9:20. Do you think this is enough time to make the train. Are there delays typically disembarking? Thank you

Do you think this is enough time to make the train. Are there delays typically disembarking? Thank you Last week we were docked well before 08:00, and I was escorted by ore butler through disembarkation and on to our bus to the airport by 08:10. Others were getting off at the time, so I presume they had elected to self- disembark. disembarkation went very smoothly as far as I could tell The walk is less than 400 yards, I know I've done it myself pulling wheeled suitcases. So I have no doubt that you will have plenty of time to catch a 09:20 train Pete
Frankmac Posted October 4, 2017 #3 Share Posted October 4, 2017 I think saying the train station is a few minutes walk is a bit optimistic. Did this journey last week and would suggest a taxi at a set rate of €17.
Skier52 Posted October 5, 2017 #4 Share Posted October 5, 2017 I think saying the train station is a few minutes walk is a bit optimistic. Did this journey last week and would suggest a taxi at a set rate of €17.00 €17 pp is the cost of an MSC bus transfer to the airport or €35 for two people in a taxi from airport to cruise terminal , those were the actual prices I paid last week. so i'd say that €17 in a taxi was expensive to go from the cruise terminal to the bus station, unless they take a very round about route to get there it is only about 400 yards from the terminal to the station (Blue line) a little futher if you avoid the steps ( Green sector) by going the alternative red route. Note the scale in the bottom left corner 900 feet (300 yards) is all the scale depicts see image Pete

I probably made an assumption that the OP was in a party as well. €17 is the standard taxi fare from the port to the station. Presumably the taxi cannot take the route in your map.
