Why MSC?

My wife and I are Diamond Members on Royal Caribbean and love it. However, we are really interested in going to the Middle East from Dubai in 2018 on Splendida. We've never cruised with another line but Royal doesn't offer this destination. Can anyone offer me a comparison and perhaps some things we will like better/worse than what we are used to with Royal? Also, any thoughts on the destination would be welcome as well! Thanks!

I have two cruises on Divina and MSC seemed to go out of there way to make you feel important. I have booked a 25 day cruise fro Durban SA to Venice with them. I’m sure you will enjoy them. Good luck.

MSC is multicultural and multilingual. Announcements are given in 5 languages. English/American is a minority. For dining room assignments, you are placed with other folks who speak your language. The food is mostly European/Italian. They do fish and pasta well. Just don't eat the steaks or Indian food. And don't expect grits. Semolina is not grits. Just saying.... I was on the Divina. It's beautiful and the crew has genuine fun with the passengers. The shows are singing/dancing with different themes each night. The casino is non-smoking and not a focus. I enjoyed it.
