Sandy Beach in Barbados

We have two teenagers and a four year old heading to the beach and some shopping. I have read alot of good things about the Boatyard for a wild time, Paynes Bay and Accra Beach. We would like to be able to snorkle, relax and have a restroom and food available. Are there any comments on Sandy Beach from experience? We are going to be there New Year's Eve--can't wait, we just got 10 inches of snow last night --its pretty but thats it to me.

Sandy beach is also a very nice beach to visit. Although the beach has eroded away in recent months. There is a bathroom facility to the east side of the beach, with vendors selling things from that location. There is also a beach bar close by, Carib Beach Bar, which has been around for years (although under different management, it's still an ok place to go).
