phillyburbslady Posted December 8, 2005 #1 Share Posted December 8, 2005 Does anyone know if there are public fishing charters in Nassau? My son wants to fish when we arrive on 1/7/06 but can't afford a private charter ($450). Any place to fish off a dock somewhere? Thanks for any help. ignashc Posted January 7, 2006 #3 Share Posted January 7, 2006 I am bumping this up because I have a group that would like to fish also. Any boats that take out large groups like they do in Florida? Also any places that will pack up fish and fly it to the states?

Bahamaskimmer Posted January 26, 2006 #5 Share Posted January 26, 2006 I would recommend Chubasco Charters out of Nassau. www.chubascocharters.com

Any place to fish off a dock somewhere? Thanks for any help. I'm with you I'd love to fish but there's no way we're spending that much for a half a day of fishing. I too would like to know if there's any docks to fish from.

Bahamaskimmer Posted January 26, 2006 #8 Share Posted January 26, 2006 To be honest with you bonefishing in Nassau has much to be desired. You are better off not fishing at all then trying to bonefish in Nassau. Other Islands like Andros and Eleuthra offer far superior bonefishing. There is much costal development on New Providence Island aka Nassau, so it has an adverse effect on bonefish.

I've heard that bonefishing off South Beach and in the Mangroves and Cays behind Adelaide and Coral Heights was pretty good. I see fishermen at South Beach all the time. I realize there's better places, but for those who just want to fish for the sake of fishing, and are only in town for a few hours, it's should be fine. Of course, it depends on the price.
