Alcohol Prices onboard

I have been on RCL and CCL and found out that the ship will match any advertized price you can find onshore. Therefore, I went aroudn and picked up all the fliers they had and brought them back to the ship and people were amazed at the prices they were giving me onboard - all because I had documentation; and it was 100x easier than lugging them back to the ship.

 

Does anyone know is NCL (I"m on the Dawn) matches prices like other lines do?

Not likely, as they recently raised all alcohol prices. The drink of the day in a sov. cup is $9.

:) Just returned from a lovely cruise from Alaska to Vancouver on the Norwegian Sun, our first time on NCL but we have done 20 + other Cruises....on different lines...RCCL..PRINCESS..CELEBRITY. All have their pros and cons of course.

 

Was informed by "Duty Free" Manager ....after going up 3 levels of Supervision...with three different answers.... that NCL has changed "Price Matching Policy".. 4 months ago so approx between April-March 2014.

 

Some prices...Vodka-Gin seemed reasonable but others not much.......

....so shop wisely Cruisers.
