Cruise Personalizer

Help please. Am not new to CC but AM new to Princess. Have done RCCL, NCL, Holland but am thinking about Golden on 9/19. What exactly is Cruise Personalizer and do you need a booking before you check what cabins are available. Also, have never done Gty - have been in Owner's Suite on Adventure and SS category on Zuiderdam. Going smaller to a mini suite this time. Best rates I've found have all been Gty AE but don't want to be above a public area -- did that on a mini suite with RCCL and noise was a bit much! Thanks in advance for any education you can provide. icon_cool.gif

The Personializer is just like for booked pax on Holland Armica. You need a booking nuimber to access this part.

As for what cabins are available, you can pretend you are going on a cruise and check that way just click out before the end. You can look at the plans of the ship under the ships title. You can see where the various colours are and figure out what you want from there.

Gty means they will put you where they have room in the Cat you want or you may get upgraded. They decide where they will put you up until you sail. You may not know until the last minute. But the minimum cat you asked for is the least you will get.

quote:
What exactly is Cruise Personalizer and do you need a booking before you check what cabins are available.

It only has your information regarding a booked cruise. You can go to various online booking sites to see a maximum of 6 cabins that are available in a category. This information is not available on Princess web site.

quote:
have never done Gty ... don't want to be above a public area

With a Gty you do not have any choice of where you might be assigned a room. You are only guaranteed at a minimum the category you book. If you have definite ideas of where you want or do not want to be then a Gty is NOT for you. If you look at the locations for the "Gty AE" and are happy with those locations AND all the categories above it then a guarantee might be for you.
