Snorkel equip for rent near Port Everglades

Hello all! I also posted this question in Ports of call, but it was under St. Thomas, so I thought it would be appropriate to post my question here as well. We do not currently have any snorkeling equipment and leave on our flight to Fort Lauderdale in two weeks (YEAH!) Cruising the Caribbean with two adults and two kids (ages 7 and 9). We are trying to stay light on luggage, so are very interested in the idea of either renting or purchasing snorkel sets while we are in Fort Lauderdale and keeping for the week, if a rental. We will have the morning the cruise departs to go to a dive shop or something. Where would you suggest? Is there anyplace down by the port? We won't have a car that day. How much should we expect to pay at this type of shop vx. walmart?? Thank you for your advice!
