Carnival Magic kids club question

My family is thinking about taking our first Carnival cruise on the Magic next year. We have only cruised on Disney, where the kids clubs have a large age range so my kids are used to being together. It looks like Carnival divides the kids up into smaller age groups. My girls would be 4 and 6 at the time of our cruise, so will they be separated any time they are in the kids clubs? Do the different age groups ever do activities together?

In my experience on Dream and Breeze the 2-5 group was always separate from the older two groups. Most days the 6-8 group would have combined activities with the 9-11 group.
