travellovers2 Posted November 12, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 12, 2017 My DH is interested in the history of Grenada and he would like to see the area where they have the Russian and Cuban plane from the 1983 invasion. Is there a particular tour that we need to take that will include this or is it close enough that we can walk there from where the ship docks? Thank you

Is there a particular tour that we need to take that will include this or is it close enough that we can walk there from where the ship docks? Thank you It is on the east coast of the island where our old airport used to be so you will definitely need a tour guide and transport. Ask one of the Taxi Association gentlemen you will meet inside the cruise ship terminal when you arrive and tell them you want a good history tour taking in Pearls Airfield and they should hook you up
cruisegus Posted January 30, 2018 #3 Share Posted January 30, 2018 Contact Stan Grainger he will customize your tour, if you are willing to skip the beach and the other couples want to stay for a few hours he could easily take during this time. Used JnJ Tours in January 2018. Stanley Grainger was a fantastic tour guide. He is a wealth of knowledge about his Island, and as a US Army veteran and former inhabitant of the USA speaks perfect English. Stan has a newer top of the line van that will seat 7 max, our group was 6, ourselves and 2 other couples. He is a gentleman in every way, he pulls that van over, and waves the other traffic past, at many places to show interesting things and explain what you are looking at. You make all the normal stops for Grenada, waterfall, spice shop, crater lake, Ft Fredrik, and then a stop at Grand Anse beach. He will pick you up at the beach and return you to the ship at whatever time you tell him, and no worry he will be there since you don’t pay him till your dropped back off at port. Highly Recommend this tour – contact info – email:grainger.stan@gmail.com or web site:http://www.jnjtours.com – I had great response with email
