jrbeaz Posted November 13, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 13, 2017 Has anyone done the Dune Buggy excursion in Cozumel? We are traveling in January and are considering it. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
bikerjohn1 Posted November 23, 2017 #2 Share Posted November 23, 2017 We did one a long time ago. It was a blast. There are multiple dunebuggy tours. We did the ones that were on a VW frame, we also booked directly with the operator and not with a cruise line.
heatheranderson13 Posted November 23, 2017 #3 Share Posted November 23, 2017 We are looking to do this as well but not to march. We are also looking at booking through the operators and not the cruise line. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
New2crusin2015 Posted November 26, 2017 #4 Share Posted November 26, 2017 My son (5 YOA) and I did the dune buggy tour last April through the RC Liberty of the Seas and we both enjoyed it. Our excursion included snorkeling and a stop at a beach. We did have to share a buggy with another group because each buggy had to have 4 people. The buggy we were given was a manual transmission and the other group we were paired with didn't want to share in any of the driving so I did all of the driving, which was fine with me. We are looking at doing it again this January because it was a really great way to get away from the port and see the island. Best of luck and have fun! mccannme Posted January 3, 2018 #5 Share Posted January 3, 2018 What outside operator did you use to book it?! I think my group would like this! Sent from my iPhone using Forums
birdy Posted January 8, 2018 #6 Share Posted January 8, 2018 I have done this excursion twice before and doing it again in February. cozumel cruise excursions dot com was the company we used. We had the same fantastic guide both times. Ask for Roger. We snorkeled, had lunch, toured the state park which has a lighthouse and visited Hacienda Antigua for tequila tasting (the blue tequila is really good). Yes, the dune buggies are old manual vw bugs but that's the fun.
