sail57 Posted December 11, 2017 #1 Share Posted December 11, 2017 Has anyone sailed in an aft PH on one of the O ships ,during a spring crossing? Wondering if the motion would be as bad as a forward cabin. Also would like to hear from those who have stayed in aft PH ,did the smaller size really make a difference,we probably wouldn't be using the balcony in April, just thinking about the view
Rare Acrusa Posted December 11, 2017 #2 Share Posted December 11, 2017 Always take aft cabins. On the O ships the MDR the restaurants and the library are all aft. We find the staterooms to very comfortable Sent from my SM-J320V using Forums mobile app
JimandStan Posted December 11, 2017 #3 Share Posted December 11, 2017 in aft PH ,did the smaller size really make a difference,we probably wouldn't be using the balcony in April, just thinking about the viewKeep in mind that there are no aft facing WINDOWS in those aft deck 7 Penthouses. You would need to be out on the veranda to get the stern view.(deck 7 runs parallel with the blue line on the hull)
Rare pinotlover Posted December 11, 2017 #4 Share Posted December 11, 2017 We always stay aft. In very bad weather, the difference in discomfort between a mid ship PH1 and an aft PH3 is insignificant. There might be some middle ground storm where the price difference might be worth it, just haven’t identified that storm yet. Forward is an entirely different ballgame! Would never book one of those PH3s!
