olivian Posted December 15, 2005 #1 Share Posted December 15, 2005 Here's a question I've never seen addressed. Does the Majesty of the Seas (or any other ship) supply toiletries like shampoo, soap, etc., or do we have to bring our own? We're leaving tomorrow (Friday) for our first cruise and I'm not sure what to pack. Thanks!
CarpeCerevisi Posted December 15, 2005 #2 Share Posted December 15, 2005 They will supply you with the standard "hotel style" soap, i.e. the 2.5 x 1.5 (approx.) bars. There will also be a shampoo dispenser in the shower. As long as you're not too particular as to the type of soap or shampoo you use, you won't need to bring your own. Speaking of the showers, they are small, very small. The old joke is that the best way to clean yourself is to lather the walls and then turn around a few times (making sure not to knock the shampoo dispenser off). Of course, then there's the matter of the attacking shower curtain ...
LetsGoCruisN Posted December 15, 2005 #3 Share Posted December 15, 2005 Does the Adventure of the Seas have the "attacking shower curtain?" I sure hope not!
superjerryw Posted December 15, 2005 #4 Share Posted December 15, 2005 I believe all the Voyager class ships have doors on the shower in lieu of a curtain.

EmJakeBubbie Posted December 15, 2005 #6 Share Posted December 15, 2005 SERENADE's shower is actually quite acceptable - nice to have no attacking curtain, as well no water all over the floor! we always carry our own toiletries everywhere:rolleyes:
ChuckyMoe Posted December 15, 2005 #7 Share Posted December 15, 2005 We're travelling on the Brilliance in January. Do they have bathroom curtains or doors? Thanks.
scubapuss Posted December 15, 2005 #8 Share Posted December 15, 2005 I thought I saw a picture of the grand suites and they have shower curtains.
ChuckyMoe Posted December 15, 2005 #9 Share Posted December 15, 2005 Kind of figured we would have curtains. I hadn't heard until now that any of the ships had doors. Thanks.
Luna Posted December 15, 2005 #10 Share Posted December 15, 2005 We were in an E1 on the Jewel this past Oct and the shower had a curved door. Same as on the D1 on the Brilliance in Sept, 2002. However, I was on the Majesty of the Seas in May, 2004 and the shower had a curtain.
PhoenixCruiser Posted December 15, 2005 #11 Share Posted December 15, 2005 JSs and above are given additional toiletries (better shampoo and seperate conditioner), lotion, lip balm, one of the those body scrubbers, Q-tips, Cotton balls and a shower cap. The bathrooms in JSs and above include a regular shower/tub so they do have a curtain. They also have a clothes line so bring some clips so you can hang up your wet swimsuits. :) ###
WineLovers Posted December 16, 2005 #12 Share Posted December 16, 2005 more stuff can't beat that, we are in 1550, GS on the Jewewl, I am going to like the full tub.:)
imatarb Posted December 17, 2005 #13 Share Posted December 17, 2005 I found our shower to be small, but it was fine. We are booked in a JS on the Enchantment next year, so I am interested to see the tub. :D

Plenty of items given so that you do not need anything at all.
