I have an important question Which is best to go on Ocean Cruise on Viking Ships, I am already booked on the Danube Waltz in July next year but I wanted to know what do you think about changing it to the Ocean cruise the Viking Sky where as I can see more and do more?

I want very much to see Barcelona Spain, France, Italy, Greece and Slovania and Croacia and Maybe do more things, and Since I am getting up in my years not sure if I can do this in 3 more years, as I am not a spring chicken anymore. The tour I am looking at is Med Oddessy.

I have some youth left but I rather do something now that I can still walk

Any suggestions please? Thank you all in advance.

I’m on the same cruise in April. I’ve been on the Rhine and China river cruises and the ocean cruise to Norway , Scotland and London. River and ocean cruises are very different from each other. The ocean ships have more dining choices than the river boats. River cruises have more interesting included tours but fewer optional tours. The ocean have more entertainment options and the sea days are nice because you have the pool and the spa. Honestly, I love them both for different reasons. We are scheduled to see the Caribbean and South America in February and the Danube in April. I guess it’s about where you want to visit. Bu5 I can honestly say that you will love both the river and the ocean cruises no matter which one you choose. Happy travels

I did the Mediterranean Odyssey in Oct., 2015. It was a wonderful cruise. So nice, in fact, that my husband and another friend-couple who did it with us are considering redoing it in 2019. We have done both Viking River and Ocean Cruises and love both.

We love both, river cruises are more intimate as there are only about 190 people vs. 900 on an ocean. My husband enjoys the river cruise more as he likes the evenings in the lounge talking to interesting people. We actually are still friends with a couple from the U.K. And one from NC that we met on the Rhine in 2013 and have vacationed with them since.

We like the Viking Ocean as no kids, no casino, and smaller ships where they are not trying to sell everything from gold by the foot to art! But every person is different just know that the Danube is a very nice river cruise.

We’re doing the Danube in April. We heard that it’s great

We've done both and they're equally nice, which of course they should be given that it's the same company and same philosophy. Choose either rivers or oceans and you'll have a great cruise. Don't agonize about which is better--just go.
