DEL871082 Posted January 1, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 1, 2018 We've never sailed Royal Caribbean before but are planning to take the kids on their first cruise in November or December of 2019 and figure they will enjoy RC more than our usual pick, Celebrity. We are looking for a balcony room that allows five, for a Caribbean sailing and hope to take advantage of the Kids Stay Free price adjustment when/if it becomes available. Our kids will be 10, 7 and 3 at time of sailing. I was looking at Oasis or Allure, mostly for the balcony options and size. Which ship would you recommend for their first cruise? Thanks! champagne123 Posted January 1, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 1, 2018 I have been on both and they are both wonderful and almost identical. Your children will love either one. The Oasis is a little older (1 or 2yrs) cannot remember.

DEL871082 Posted January 1, 2018 Author #4 Share Posted January 1, 2018 Fyi kids sail free is happening now. Thank you but unfortunately the Kids Stay Free currently on is only for 2018 and we want to wait until our youngest is 3, so after October of 2019. But I appreciate you letting me know! karena1 Posted January 1, 2018 #5 Share Posted January 1, 2018 Harmony is also a good choice with the huge water slides and the dry water slide Abyss
divegrl2004 Posted January 1, 2018 #6 Share Posted January 1, 2018 Either one would be a great choice as they are the same class ship but allure or harmony are newer. You could also put your deposit down now to ensure you get your choice of cabin and then when/if kids sail free promotion comes out and applies to your sailing you can then have it applied. Go for the refundable deposit so that just in case kids sail free doesn’t apply to the sailing you pick, you can get your money back no problem. If you are going to go no matter what then a non refundable deposit is a great option. Clarea Posted January 1, 2018 #7 Share Posted January 1, 2018 ... Which ship would you recommend for their first cruise? Thanks! The ships are virtually identical for the purposes of the children. I'd pick based on port of departure and price.
champagne123 Posted January 1, 2018 #8 Share Posted January 1, 2018 Harmony is also a good choice with the huge water slides and the dry water slide Abyss Karena, have you been on the Harmony yet? If so, does the mega slide block the Aqua Theatre at all?
