Bedspreads?

I hate bedpspreads. The first thing I do when I get into a hotel/cabin is take off the bedspread. How can I let my cabin steward know that I do not want a bedspread, ever? I've heard some people hide them under the bed.

On our last cruise, the bedspread was only there the first day we entered the room. After that, it was stored in the closet. So, I don't think you have to worry. Now, people are gripping about NOT having a bedspread.:)

What Ed said is right. I was on the same sailing as Ed, and we only saw the bedspread the first day. This is the first time I have seen Celebrity do this, but it appears (at least on Century) that they are not using the bedspreads after the first day.

 

Perhaps it is becuase the bedspreads are getting older, and are due to be replaced soon. But, I believe I heard they are doing this on other X ships as well.

When we were in a Royal Suite on the Summit in October, the bedspread was removed and placed under the bed on the evening of the 1st day.

We were in the Royal Suite on the Mercury in October, and the bedspread was used everyday. Different ships?

 

Phyllis, after they take off the bedspread, there is still a duvet.

Thanks. I was trying to remember what the bedspread vs. no bedspread was on a two nighter. I think the second day it was just duvets.

But what if you don't have a cc room? Duvets only come with cc or above. Does anyone know?

It seems like it's easy enough to tell the cabin steward "Please, do not put the bedspread on my bed for the rest of the week. Just make the bed and leave the bedspread off. Thank you."

There were only sheets on the bed in our O/V cabin on the Century.

I asked for a comforter on the Millie (inside cabin) and had a duvet from the 2nd day forward. No problem at all.
