irockadidas Posted January 4, 2018 #4 Share Posted January 4, 2018 Somebody should call them and add access to cruise critic to the plan so we can post live updates!
shanley Posted January 4, 2018 #5 Share Posted January 4, 2018 I just called and asked about the Internet on the Getaway, as online I am not being shown any internet package options to buy. The woman I spoke to said the Getaway had the choices of 100 minutes, 200 minutes or unlimited for $29.99 USD a day. I asked if the social media package was available and she said she couldn't see it but it might be available to purchase once on board. bluelagoon543 Posted January 4, 2018 #6 Share Posted January 4, 2018 First time considering purchasing internet, if we purchase unlimited internet does only one person in the state room need to purchase it and is it good on multiple devices? phillyguy31 Posted January 4, 2018 #7 Share Posted January 4, 2018 Everyone can use it but only one device at a time.
bonnyweed Posted January 4, 2018 #8 Share Posted January 4, 2018 Everyone can use it but only one device at a time. I had unlimited internet on Getaway in September. It was one device only. That said, it was pretty fast. A one-day unlimited plan sounds good to me.
NMLady Posted January 4, 2018 #9 Share Posted January 4, 2018 I had unlimited internet on Getaway in September. It was one device only. That said, it was pretty fast.A one-day unlimited plan sounds good to me. There is no one-day unlimited plan. It is 29.99 per day times the number of Cruise days. You must buy it for the entire cruise not just one day or a few days.
fredflint Posted January 5, 2018 #10 Share Posted January 5, 2018 I had the unlimited on the EPIC for 11 days I used 7GB of data. Epic does not allow any kind of video streaming and I believe they blocked music too speeds were dial up up to about 1MB most of the time.
Master98 Posted January 6, 2018 Author #11 Share Posted January 6, 2018 The social media test package is not available anymore.
ja2nowak Posted January 11, 2018 #12 Share Posted January 11, 2018 I was hoping they'd update their packages by now. However they only offered the old standards of 100 min, 200 min, or unlimited on both the Sky and Epic in October and December. I'm on the Bliss in April for the TA so I'm really hoping they'll have an alternative that can compete with Carnival on their newest ship. If not I guess I'll be paying $360.
