Norwegian Wind

Back when it was the Windward, it was a very nice ship.

Haven't been on it since the stretch and name change, but was on its sister, Norwegian Dream (former Dreamward) after the stretch, and did not particularly care for the ship. They added many cabins, but little in the way of public areas. We thought it poorly laid out, with some serious traffic flow problems. In fairness to NCL, it was when they were just introducing Freestyle Dining, and there several kinks that needed to be worked out.

The Dream is the sister ship of the Wind so any pictures of either ship should give you the general impression.

We were on the Dream in June and had a great time and we are planning on sailing on her again next summer when she is cruising in the Baltics.

We've spent more than 25 days on the Dream and found it to be a very comfortable and enjoyable ship. The Wind is essentially identical. On both cruises the ship was booked solid and we never experienced waits of more than ten minutes in the dining rooms. As others have pointed out here, the buffet on the Dream was not expanded when the ship was stretched, so it can be crowded at dinner.
