Kingofcool1947 Posted January 21, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 21, 2018 (edited) First time cruisers on Oceania. DW and I will be sailing on Sirena this May. for an 8 day cruise to Cuba. I enjoy having a couple of drinks, cognac or brandy, before retiring for the evening. DW and I usually cruise with Princess and Celebrity, but we want to see if an upscale luxury premium cruise line like Oceania is for us. We are “Night Owls”, and like to stay up and enjoy listening to live music, have my nightcap, and then retire for the evening usually around 11:00 pm.-11:30 pm. What time does entertainment like the piano player end his/her last set? Dancing end? What time is “Last Call” at the bar(s) and/or lounge(s)? Thanks. tv24 Posted January 21, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 21, 2018 If you retire at 11:00 or 11:30, you're fine. The bars and the disco are still open at that hour. Oceania has an accurate reputation of closing down early. It is true that most passengers retire by the time the show is over, but there are a few of us who stay out for a night cap. We were often out and about after midnight. While we were pretty lonely, the bars and the music continued. But don't expect much after that. Queen of DaNile Posted January 21, 2018 #3 Share Posted January 21, 2018 Last month on Nautica ("sister" to Sirena), the last set for the piano player in Martinis was 10:30 - 11:15 pm. Late night Happy Hour in Horizons was 10:30 - 11:30, occasionally with live music or a Dj. FWIW the daily bulletin states most bars are open until "closing".
