Princess Vegetarian

Hello!

 

I am wondering about Vegetarian food availability in Specialty restaurants, specifically Sabatinis. Doesn't look like they have anything veggie on menu. Does anyone know if they can special order or create something veggie?

Now, this info is second hand, but: My in-laws went on Princess to Alaska about 1 1/2 ago and they're both vegetarians. My brother in law also went and he's very strict vegan (doesn't wear leather) They loved it. They were so pleased with how accomodating the staff was, how much variety there was and how good the food was --and I was so impressed with the rave reviews, we've chosen Princess for our first cruise. I'm not vegetarian but if they went that far for them, I have high hopes. We're going to the Caribbean, but hopefully it's the cruise line and not the specific boat that was so wonderful!

Thanks for the recommendation regarding Vegs. I now eat pork, fish, and poultry sometimes, but can go without meats for quite sometime ~having learned the value of money in college! May want to try Sabatini's if the others in our party agree.

I am vegan also. We asked on the Golden in Oct about vegan meals in Sabatinis. We were told they do not have anything specifially veggie/vegan. We opted not to try and also to spend the extra $$, as the dining room was willing to work with me and prepare things I could eat and enjoy. Get the head waiter to bring you the next day's menu and then they will make or modify something for you. After a couple of cruises I find it useful to prepare a list of dishes you like and want, so as to have some ideas on the ship, when you are asked what you would like.
