Any decent to good restaurants near our hotel?

We are staying at the Days Inn Galveston 1 night pre cruise and will not have a car. It looks like the hotel is a little off the beaten path and doesn't look like there's too much around. Anyone who has any experience with restaurants near here let me know. Or is it just better to go downtown via a cab? How much would it be for our family of four for a cab? Thank You in advance.

Well downtown is nice. Plus you get to look at people and architecture and shops.

But you're right by the Galveston Island Brewing Company.

And Jimmy's on the pier.

You can get an Uber to get

To the East End.

Just Google up the two places I gave you and see what you think .
