BlueCattleDog Posted February 1, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 1, 2018 Hi CC! After three years of reading and several cruises, I'm ready to post for the first time! :) I will be cruising with three other women later this month, with a port in Ocho Rios. We have a ship excursion in the morning, and had planned to walk to Turtle Beach, have lunch, and do a little shopping near the ship in the afternoon. I know there are a lot of people concerned about the recent travel warnings in the Montego Bay area, but if we take the usual precautions and remain aware of our surroundings - should we be concerned with our afternoon plans on our own in Ocho Rios? I was thinking since we are staying fairly close to the ship, it should be fairly safe. Thoughts? I appreciate your input!
bluenotedave Posted February 3, 2018 #2 Share Posted February 3, 2018 We will be there on the 12th of Feb. I hired Courtney Taylor as a private tour guide for some shopping local sightseeing and a lunch. Around $20 pp. we used him a few years ago and had a great time. I did email him about the warning issued and he got back to us and said there is no worries. Enjoy!
