Share taxi to sapphire beach?

My husband and I will be on carnival fascination and arriving st Thomas on Feb 25,2018. We are planning on going to sapphire beach. Is there anyone that is planning on going that day that would like to share a taxi there?

Unless you pay for a private taxi, you will be sharing the vehicle with up to maybe 20 other people. Depending on the number of people and the time of day, the vehicle should fill up quickly.

The shared taxi from Havensight to Sapphire Beach was $10 per person last week. On the return we had a private taxi which was $8 per person. I think it depends on the time of day and the direction. At the port there will always be more people wanting a taxi so they can charge more.

The taxi rates are set by government so all legal taxis are supposed to charge the same rates. Legal taxis have special taxi license plates. Illegal taxis may not be properly insured.
