Cheffiecruiser Posted December 22, 2005 #1 Share Posted December 22, 2005 Hi all, Very excited 4th time cruiser here (Norwegian to Alaska, Royal Carribean to the Carribean, Celebrity to Alaska, and now, Celebrity to Carribean) I let my friends pick the itinerary, I insisted on the cruise line! Does anyone have their favorite picks for the following ports, and are we better off booking our own instead of through the cruise line? Travelling companions and I are active, but not looking for a marathon type activity, just fun and different ones. SUNDAY PHILIPSBURG, ST. MAA AR: 930A LV: 600P MONDAY ROSEAU, DOMINICA AR: 700A LV: 530P TUESDAY CASTRIES, ST. LUCIA AR: 700A LV: 530P WEDNESDAY MARGARITA ISLAND, VE AR: 700A LV: 300P THURSDAY ORANJESTAD, ARUBA AR: 1100A LV: 1100P FRIDAY AT SEA SATURDAY SAN JUAN, PUERTO RIC AR: 700A Thanks in advance! wvufan Posted December 22, 2005 #3 Share Posted December 22, 2005 Both times we have been to St. Martin, we went on the America's Cup excursion (only available through ship, but well worth the money) and then to Orient Beach for the afternoon. Absolutely wonderful way to spend the day. In Aruba, a bunch of us rented 4 wheel drives and drove around a lot of the island-we had pirate flags, wore silly hats, and had a blast. One other time, we went snorkeling with an outfit called Roberto's Private Snorkeling, and it was super. I think his boats only hold 8 people, he avoids the crowds, and prices are very reasonable. Look under that name on the net. Have fun, OOOEEE:D :D Bob and Phyl
espmass Posted December 22, 2005 #4 Share Posted December 22, 2005 I always advise people to rent a Jeep at the dock in Aruba and explore the island and go off roading. It's lots of fun and you can see everything you'd see on a tour.
