rhiannon35 Posted February 21, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 21, 2018 We will be departing on the Seaside on 3/10, and 3/11 is Daylight Saving Time. I just had the owner of an excursion I'm trying to book for 3/14 on Grand Cayman ask me what time we'll be on. Well, I told her, I really don't know. During the same time frame on NCL last year there was mass confusion as to when/if we'd set the clocks ahead. Staff members either had no idea what we were talking about (giving us a blank stare or smile) or gave us different answers ("today," "tomorrow," "never"). Our fellow passengers were just as perplexed, until finally it was announced we'd be setting the clocks ahead the day before disembarking. Does anyone have any idea how MSC handles this? I'd call but I'm afraid I'd be given the wrong information.
Carribean Cruiser George Posted February 21, 2018 #2 Share Posted February 21, 2018 MSC staff should change the ship time overnight at 2:00am to match the local time of the port you are visiting. If the day before is a sea day and the time zone changes the day before, it would likely be changed at 2:00am the morning of the Sea day. This was my experience on Seaside. Carribean Cruiser George Posted February 22, 2018 #4 Share Posted February 22, 2018 If you check out the daily programs for your itinerary, you will see the notices about time changes. I believe they are posted on this forum...
ssmea03 Posted February 22, 2018 #5 Share Posted February 22, 2018 The ship runs on local time for the POC, the times in your itinerary should be local time too, so give your tour guide those times. The next days time will be in the daily. Last November on Divina we had to change our clocks everyday.
rhiannon35 Posted February 22, 2018 Author #6 Share Posted February 22, 2018 Wait till you board to find out. I need to arrange this excursion prior to us leaving, so that is not an option.

I will tell the excursion co. we will be on local time (which I'd think they'd know, but apparently not!)
