deck plans

I have only been on a couple of cruises so these may be really dumb questions. We are sailing on Symphony of the Seas at the end of May. We have booked cabin #8624. I'm looking at the deck plans for the ship but I can't tell which is the starboard side and which is the port side. Where are the stairs? Where are the doorways to the cabins on this deck? Last dumb question: What deck do you enter the ship?

Left is port right is starboard. The deck plan I saw shows 8624 on the right side. The stairs appear to be next to the elevators

I can't tell you 100% which, but it is either the first deck or the promenade deck, which is deck 5 on Symphony.

I assume boarding on embarkation day will be the same as other Oasis class ships, which will be deck 5

An easy way to remember port and starboard side is port is left and port and left both have the same amount of letters.

Entrance to the cabins are from the inside corridor on deck 8. The outside doors only access the cabin balconies not any of the public area.
